...waiting for a specific project/guitar to place in?

Let's see, I have

DiMarzio:
PAF (one in red, one in blue, both original DP103s)
Humbucker From Hell (red/yellow)
Double Whammy (red/black)
PAF Pro (red/black)
HS-2 (red)
HS-3 (black)

Seymour Duncan:
Vintage Rails (black)

Carvin:
M22SD (red)
M22V (red)

I plan to place the red PAF and the red/yellow HFH on a Carvin SC90 one I have sufficient funds to buy it, lol.

The other ones are still just waiting for me to think of some ideas. :cool2:: private:

got a rockfield SWV(select wound vintage) a2 paf set sitting around. i've already got duncans in all three of my HH guitars though, and they came out of one of'em. maybe if i get a real cheap HH axe?

I have a nasty habit of buying cut price pre-owned pickups as they appear and then having to find a guitar in which to fit them.

Latest example, found SD Phase II bass pickups over a year ago. Bought pre-owned Yamaha RBX375 two weeks ago. Just sorting out pickup adjustments. Then, I might well sell the instrument. Daft, huh?

I've got 8 maybe? SH-6's, 59's APHII's, JB's, HotRails........I bet I have at least a dozen in reality!

Laying around? Several. Awaiting a project? 1 or 2.

My Stratbro90 is still waiting for me to finish a project. It will be the neck pickup in a H-X-S guard. The bridge might be a TB-5 I have laying around, though I might turn it into a hybrid.

Collecting dust is a Cool Rails, a Crazy8, 2 Epiphone pickups, and 2 paperweights, also known as BCRich BSDMs.

I've got a set of 3 strat pickups that sound really quite good from my mod. If anyone has a good offer I'd be willing to sell for some extra guitar money!

I got an Everything Axe set. Just took them out of my Strat...lookin to change tone.

Got a snakeskin strat pickguard with a hot rails in the bridge, and a cool rails neck and a vintage rails that I'm gonna throw in the middle position. Now the pickguard just needs a good strat lol.

I've also got an APH-2 neck model and a Jerry Donahue Bridge waiting for a Blackpoole telecaster when I can get enough money (i.e. sell 2 guitars, a cab, and some effects).

Other than that, I've got 2 hybrids I made with a double-screw Jon Moore 9k wind and a Custom Custom that I know sound great in a strat, because that's where one was before I got two strabro pickups and a p-rails that are currently in said strat.

I'm pretty sure that's it. Enough spare pickups for an SSS strat, an XXH strat or tele (or SG), and a HS telecaster.

I passed on a Brobucker because I didn't really have a guitar to put it it--I like most of the sets I have.

I do have a set of Seth Lovers that I'm not sure what to do with. I have a Pearly Gates set earmarked for one of my Les Paul Supremes. And the two 496R/500T sets I took out of my LP Classic Plus guitars (for a set of Antiquitys and a set of MF/CS 50th Anniversary A2 Seths).

Got a couple of Antiquity Texas Hot sets, waiting to be installed in a couple of G&L Legacys.

Darn, I got a lot of projects! I gotta get busy!

In another thread, a regular forum contributor who shall remain nameless was fishing for surplus pickups for his/her cheap guitar. I PM'd him on the matter but he did not reply. Must be on his/her Ignore List. His/her loss.

I have at least 20 laying around, but it's probably just a few more than that.

I horde anything - I've got import junkbuckers that will donate their baseplates to my next homemade humbucker made from two Jackson J100 singles (I've got 3 of those).

The other stuff I just got in recently are a TB59 (gotta pick which one to put it in with a 59N from another guitar), a pair of Stacks that will go in an S-S-S Charvel SoCal when the 2 MexiSingles get here, a JB that I'm going to hybriduze with something else (haven't decided on what), a White Custom Cuss'em waiting to go into a white Charvel, a couple of older Jackson humbuckers (JH-1 and JH-2 - both have the same reading on the meter), an MMK45 import jobby that reads 11.68k, another Custom Cuss'em in black, and an '85 Gibson Dirty Fingers.

They'll all get used eventually, soon as I figure out which ones to put in which guitars.

Trouble is, once I get them in, I'll probably have EMGs (89/85) and DiMarzio's lying around (TZBs and EvoNs), as well as some Jrs (JbJr, JazzJr, DistJr) :lol:

i probably have about a dozen of old duncans laying around everywhere atm. I try to give them to friends by convincing them that the stock pick ups on their guitars suck and they should try duncans but even then i will occasionally feel the urge to buy some more to either experiment or just cuz it says JBJ on the back lol... i probably wont even ever have any use for all of them at once.. sometimes i just get em cuz they where cheap and "just in case" i might need one someday lol
