I gotta give Ibeenhad props for selling that guitar for such a high price, when all you're really paying for is the paintjob. I mean, it's a basswood guitar, it's got a standard thin neck, two dmz pickups that you can buy aftermarket. Hey, more power to 'em.

beandip is abolutely right, although i do like the feel of the neck. That guitar is way overpriced and the only thing it really has going for it is the paint job

Looks awesome now, but when he actually gets around to touching it, it won't look so pretty :blackeye:

Joe Satriani is the man and it's incredible the tone he gets even with a guitar with woods like that, it's certainly nothing special.

I prefer the white ones or the black graphite ones for a reasonable price... ;) I gotta say those ARE my fave Ibanez guitars. The body is just so cool-shaped and the neck is GREAT. I think the back shape is supposed to be a replica of Joe's '58 Strat and the fretboard radius is a compund 9-10.

Love those guitars!

i dunno that silver/chrome model was at stock right now...but only the painjob should cost more than a medium priced guitar. about the quality and construction, i don´t get that "hey, basswood is crap man" thing... i mean, i´m sure that the quality of the woods in this guitar are 11. the neck of that guitar (if it´s the same than the neck of the js1000) is awesome also.

btw i don´t think these kinda players (satriani, petrucci, gilbert) are getting bad tones of their basswood guitars nor that this is because of their miracle hands... i think that every wood is a good choice, not because this brand uses it (i´m pretty sure there is a bunch of people that likes mahogany only because gibson uses it building their instruments) but of their tone specs, that, in it´s proper situation, can get the best tone for you...
