Overall for more music - the SuperD. However, there are a lot of things I really prefer the CC for:
early VH, Led Zepplin, all sorts of Blues.
KISS, Aerosmith, REO, Maiden/Priest is all SUperD though. If I could have only one, I'd pick the superD. Fortunately, I can and do have both.
My CC/PG combo is really awesome for a lot of stuff, though. By Genre - here are my prefs:
Blues - CC
Blues rock - CC, SuperD
Classic rock - SuperD, CC
Rock or hard rock - SuperD, CC
Metal - SuperD
Note, sometimes I listed one first because both can do the job, just one does it better for some things. SuperD is just THE quintessential 70's hard rock sound. But it doesn't really do, say, Allman bros or Clapton or Zepplin nearly as well as the CC. But you really could play any style with either depending on guitar, amp and preferences.
They are really two very different sounding pups. I have a Duncan Distortion as well, and it's the same deal. DD is way more "priest" and SD is way more "maiden"
