Your thoughs on my "vision", please !

Guys, i would like your 'personal' oppinions (...as if your oppinions are not personal) on my long-term vision.


Nothing is set in stone - yet - but i would like to know what you folks think of my twin amp set-up (in stereo)


FOR CLASSIC ROCK AND FUZZED-UP GARAGE BLUES :


Guitars -->*a few pedals -->Bassman LTD & Orange AD30 TC (((in stereo)))


*pedals = the odd overdrive, fuzz, and delay


I know it is big money, but i did say long-term plan !
Would like to have this set-up by the end of '07, FWIW (?)


OK guys, let those ideas, thoughts & positive crit's flow . . .

I think you should put it all together and see how it goes, could be complete garbage and nothing like the sound in ur head.

ive used that setup with out the orange but with a jcm 800 and it worked great. i did have to flip the phase of the speaker on the jcm 800 to get the best tone. just something to check once you get it set up

As an Soof Arrfrikan, i feel i need to inform you about my "plan" !

The Bassman, and Orange is NOT comming to SA !!! :eek13:

My GF (for the last 4 years) is Canadian (Toronto-girl), and i am planning to move there asap, so everything i buy from now on, is going to get shiped to Canada, NOT SA - can you think how much it will cost to mail a Bassmam 4x10 to PE ???

That will cost me (probably) more than the amp itself, so that is a big no-no :no:
(on second thought, it will still be cheaper than a new Bassman from a SA store - sad FACT !!!)

Also, have you tried to get a Classic Rock (Wolfmother/Silvertide/Faces/LedZep), or a Psychobilly band together in a place like PE :blackeye:
Most of the muso's don't even know what Psychobilly is, nor can they name ONE band/group from that genre - pretty bloody sad if you ask me !

Also, my GF is in the loop with a whole lot of bands in Toronto, so i hope getting a band together asap will not be that hard - famous last words hey !

That is why i posted this question . . .

. . . and i have to admit, i am affraid that if i manage to get it together, that there might be a chance of not liking it !

One thing is certain, I WANT A BASSMAN, REAL BAD !!! :smokin:

And i also want/need an amp with a slightly more agro Brittish-voiced break-up. Not too much, but def. more than a Bassman at max vol.
Hence the Orange AD Twin Channel.

Mesa F30's are priced right (especially used), but they sound wayyyy to modern for my liking :no:
