How does that work?

If you submit something you've written and recorded ect... something you've produced, does YouTube own it, or do you?

I am scared that uploading and not reading the terms and conditions GIVES it to them for free.

Well, you should always read the terms and conditions of anything. Having said that, think of how many famous bands have uploaded their stuff there.

If uploading a song meant giving it to them, they'd have like 9 videos up.
