Alright, I'm looking into a neck pickup for my Agile AL-2500. (LP copy)
I want a thick, fluid lead tone, so I'm thinking of putting a JB in the neck slot. There'll be a DMZ Super Distortion in the bridge, so I don't think I'd have any balance issues, but...
That's what I'm going for. So if I end up with a JB in the neck, I see I have two choices:
Put a zebra pickup, but backwards
Put a reverse zebra pickup, in the normal orientation.
If I put a zebra pickup backwards, the logo would be facing the wrong way, and I don't really want that. :smack:
Anyway, my real question is this - if I put a reverse zebra pickup in, the screw polepieces will be on the opposite side. (facing the bridge) Would that have an appreciable effect on the sound? I can't imagine it'd make that much of a difference.
