SD sent out a promotional email with a picture of a 3+3 humbucker featuring bobbins with only three holes / pole pieces per bobbin:
They call this a "Wide Range humbucker", but the real deal features twelve pole pieces with six being hidden under the cover. I can't see under that plastic, but it looks to me like there is a total of six pole pieces, or at the very least, there could be and you wouldn't have to suffer the sight of empty holes in the bobbin, or be compelled to cover them with a nickel/chrome cover.
There was some question as to whether they even produced a three holed plastic humbucker bobbins, well it appears they do somehow. This means there's no technical hurdle to speak of in creating an attractive, uncovered, six poled ZeBro.
