Zhangbuckers, Now Playing!

Yeah, I know this is the Seymour Duncan user group forum, but I thought some people might be interested.
Ordered a set of Zhangbuckers, Pagey2s, back in November. Got them last week. The Pure Handwound variety with no covers and the Widebucker option for the bridge.
First I'd like to commend David, (Mr Zhangbucker) for his friendly and competent service. He answers messages very quickly, or the phone if you call him. The latter is something that's disappearing from all too many providers.
Pickups were received in good shape, packed well, and frankly before I expected them. Remember these are REALLY hand wound. No machines involved. That's got to be a time consuming, tedious task that would drive a normal man nuts.
How do they sound? They are the best I have ever played. Very well balanced across the strings. Very articulate. Deep piano type lows, not overwhelming but very present and strong. Beautiful mids, nice and warm. Vocal comes to mind. Lots of airy sparkle. These babys will never let you get lost in the mix. I'm not very good at writing this kind of thing, but I will say, earnestly and honestly that I can't imagine a better PAF style humbucker at ANY price. Very satisfied.
I don't have any way to record soundclips yet, but you can hear some on Youtube, and his website. Someday I want to do a comparison of these, a set of his standard Pagey2s, some Seths or Ants, and maybe a Fralin, Lollar, you get the idea.
I like my Seths very much, and they were installed in the guitar where the Zhangbuckers now live. The Seths sound absolutely stellar in it, an LP type from Carvin, but the Zhangs are in it now and will not be coming out.
I'm not posting this to knock SDs, but rather to show my appreciation to David and to spread the word to anyone that doesn't know about them. Like i didn't know a few months ago.

Re: Zhangbuckers, Now Playing!

I have the Zhangbuckers Paul Bunyan, and they are awesome! They don't have a home right now, but I'll probably be able to give 'em that in a few months.

Hahaha jeez, look at me. My apologies sir... I'm the one who's being highly stupid here!! Was thinking of someone else there - of your fine pickups, I've actually had the Brownbucker in a PRS Singlecut Trem. It slayed.

Re: Zhangbuckers, Now Playing!

My Pagey 2 Zhangbuckers are my favorite pickups!
