  • Super Overdrive in front of a TSL100...

I like my tube amp I got this one about 4 month by now and the only thing that I don't like is the lack of presence or gain in the lead channel, but this evening I try a SD-1 in front of the amp Head nah what can I say.....walaaaaa bingo, jacke mate, check mate... BUT IT IS A GOOD IDEA TO SATURATE THE CHANNELS WITH AN OD IN FRONT OF THE HEAD... THIS AFFECT THE LIFE OF TUBES OR NOT?

    THANKS!

No problem - go right ahead and saturate it to your heart's content. That's what they were designed for.

I used to do the exact same thing with my DSL. I think Robbiedbee (who now owns the DSL) does it too. Its still going strong as far as I know.

          It certainly is

You're right, I do do that, sometimes with a DS-1, and sometimes with a SD SFX-03.
