    I just scored a new Marshall DSL50 85th ann. edition. $1100 out the door! I have a matched set of winged c and a quartet of jj gold pins standing by. Time to play some Schenker.

    F*ing sweet. Nice score. DSL's rock. Never got a chance to play the 50 watt though, only used 100. Any real difference?

      Yes it does sound different. The Dsl50 has different transformers and that makes a pretty good difference. It is the same reason some people prefer the 50w Jcm 800. Not that it really makes a difference in the end. A Dsl sounds like a Dsl and a Jcm 800 sounds like a Jcm 800. To me it is a volume issue. Easier to saturate at rehearsal volume.
