Traynor YCV series, those amps kick some serious booty, but I don't hear people talk about them often.

I'm with you there! I own a 1x12 YCV40 with a Mojo Tone speaker. Take out the stock Chinese celestion and put a quality speaker in a YCV and you've got great tone on tap. Very reliable and well-built too. 4 years as a YCV40 owner and no problems yet!

Anything with the name Bogner on it gets the attention of everyone before it even ships and almost nobody would have the courage to go against the "consensus" and say anything less than great about any of them, and it's pretty much universal that they sound good. JSXs are super-popular amps. Triamps get talked about a lot.

I don't know what you mean by underrated or overlooked.

I would agree that the JSX is underrated...I think most people, particularly those blinded by brand names (which I'm sure we all do at times) would walk right by one to play the Marshall standing next to it simply because Marshall is a more recognizable name for most people.

peavey windsor heads. those things rip man, especially when outfitted with lower gain preamp tubes and run with an overdrive! i think that most people who have tried them and write them off tried them through the matching cabinet, which isn't exactly the greatest cab....

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

Marshall DSL-100 - Probably underrated for most players.
Peavey Butcher - Lumped in with horrid solid state hybrids.
Peavey Classic 50 - The dirt on this amp isn't great, but the cleans are legendary.
Silvertone 1482 - Most guitarists would pass these by and never give them a second glance.
Sovtek Mig 50 - Great little bassman clones.

I love my YCV40 with the Cannabis Rex in there. It's a really sweet tube amp.
