    Grabbed me an amplug Classic Rock

    Thing does rock rhythms really well and can also do some great stoner fuzz. I cant get good leads out of it but whatever, its a headphone amp.

    Better sounding toy than i was expecting

    I know some of you guys have posted good recordings with these things, i might try my hand at one. Do you front them with pedals?

    I love my Classic Amp Plug. The way it gives quad cab thump through a $12 pair of headphones is amazing. Reminds me of the first Aerosmith album.

    I've found it does not take overdrive pedals the way you'd expect, based on how a tube amp would react. It's possible to dial it in, but it's not the same as a real 12AX7 input stage. You can probably get away with more dirt in from, but don't plan on slammin' it with 20dB of clean boost - it just doesn't take it well. Modulation pedals like chorus work pretty well.

    I haven't tried recording with it - I mostly use mine on business trips to rock out in hotel rooms. Loads of fun.
