Ernie Ball stereo/pan volume pedal - mods?

Anyone know of any mods that can be done to the E.B. stereo volume/pan pedal so that when your pan is set equally to both amps, you get full signal to each?

It has 2 rheostats (2 volume pots connected together, one backwards), but in the middle position each pot is on 1/2. Can it be modded like the Fender TBX control which has full signal at the middle position...as you continue turning the knob, one pot stays at full signal while the other pot decreases to zero?

Also.....is there anyway to mod it so that it can store your pan setting when you switch to volume mode?

Anybody know anything about this pedal? Can it be modded?

I gotta know if I can salvage this or just return it and get a Boss stereo volume (only) pedal.
