    Recommend me a good mid-drive pedal.

    I have a Danelectro Cool Cat drive that is just a bit too hot. I need something with a bit more middle range. A DS-1 is nearing the zone, but it needs mods to get into that territory. Basically, I need to bridge the gap between my Tube Screamer, and my Dano.

      check out one of those cheap mxr classic ods...great pedals regardless of the price. Similar in concept to a tube screamer, but a bit more agressive than a ts and a little more boost available too. Really nice. you may even replace your ts....
      I know they are all over the forum right now but they are really good and cheap as chips!

        You didn't say how much you wanted to spend. If you have the dough:
        1- Barber Electronics Tone Pump
        2- Menatone Blue Collar
        3- Barber Electronics 1/2 Gainer

          A simple MXR GT-OD/Classic OD, or the Dano Tranparent OD.

              I'm thinking you may be right about the DS-1. Its a fantastic pedal, can be had on the cheap and I can mod them myself easily.

                  Subdecay Super Nova Drive. It has a very wide range, from barely there to pretty thick distortion.
