  • Luscious fuzz tone! (Live jam clip inside)

Putting the final touches onto my live/recording rig and in the process the Tommy Bolin fuzz has made its way back into my pedal board (and heart lol) ... this is an improv jam from last night's rehearsal:

Rig: Agile AL-2500 loaded with Lollar Imperials > Hartman Tommy Bolin fuzz > Nick Greer Sweetback Driver > Radial ABY> Output A, EAST Studio 2 > Eminence Wizard > Output B, Bumbox Cielo > Scumback M75

The clarity and musicality of the Bolin inspires a whole new style of play from me. Love it!

Ya know, B, I think I'd know you're tone and playing blind!

        Sounds great as always!
If you just read a post by The Guy Who Invented Fire please understand that opinions change, mind sets change and as players our ears mature...not to mention our needs grow and change. With that in mind, today I may or may not agree with the post you just read!

You'd recognize those clams anywhere, huh?! LOL

          Sounds great as always!
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm over the moon about the rig now -- I'm using Bolin fuzz for couple of songs, the BB Preamp for others, and the Green Rhino for a couple other songs. Combined with the Descend and the Sweetback, I'm very happy with the tonal variety.

If youd've asked me, I never would've picked that out as as Fuzz box though!

The Bolin fuzz isn't like most fuzz boxes; it's very low gain, very clean and very musical.

                  Man does that sound sweet.

                  How loud was that anyway?
Can't believe I've just recently come to notice how important volume is...
