When I had it in a small lopo 1x12 cube (closed back) the sound was not what I liked. When I moved it to a 2x12 closed (much bigger) running it alone it sounds really nice. It has an articulate speaker with a bit of smokey grind int he upper mids or lower highs._____________________________

Yeah, not very bright but still some sparkly still in it, smooth midrange, and warm, full bass. It's got enough midrange to make my amp sound a little more balanced (especially vs that stock C12K)
I use one in my DRRi, and have used one in a small MDF open back 1x12.
