  • Used High Gain Amps on Musiciansfriend

I've never really browsed musiciansfriend used gear until today. I was surprised by some of these amp deals, thought I would share. I'm not looking for an amp myself, just daydreaming.

Blackstar Venue Series HT Soloist HT-60S 60W Tube Guitar Combo Amp $511

    JCA50H 50W Tube Guitar Amp Head $521

Jet City Amplification JCA Series JCA100H 100W Tube Guitar Amp Head $559.99

    Peavey 6505 112 60W 1x12 $521

Blackstar Venue Series HT Club 40 40W $559.99

    that 1 x 12" 6505 looks tempting!

The blackstar HT 60 watt soloist is the one that really caught my eye. It is going for much less than it's little brother, the HT Club 40. You'd just have to get a footswitch. I know there are a lot of people buying up the HT40s, so if they happened upon this great HT60 deal they could get something even better for less (I imagine, haven't actually tried it).

How ironic. They just sent me an email for 10% off of all used merchandise.

FYI, there is a 6505 1-12 combo on ebay for $499 and free shipping...

Not mine, I just saw it last night, may still be there.

I need another amp, like I need a hole in the head, but Im so tempted by the Jet City.. I liked the 20 watter I had..
Plus, Ive always liked the gooey thick sound of the 6505. Never played the small one tho..

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
