There's re-issues available.

What price are they? Genuine NOS KT88s are probably in excess of $400 a pair these days.sigpic

Re: Are Genalex KT88 any good?
I was looking at your Valves thread.
Tube positions: v1, v2, v3 and PI (v4) what do they do Contemplating about getting the genalex reissues of kt88
I figure they're going to need replacing sometime down the track, something I won't be able to afford to do with NOS tubes. Mine cost me Aus$260 for the pair , eight years ago.
If you get some re-issues I would like to hear an opinion.
KT88s are known for their clean bottom end and are a very clean sound, part of what you are trying to achieve from reading your valves thread.sigpic
