When to a local market with some Chinese friends to see what kind of equipment was in the shops.
Didn’t see much since the market that they took me too was for old tube type stereos etc…
HOWEVER, while I was in that market, I noticed a few stores that sold tubes so I figured, "WHAT THE HECK!” and went inside to see what was available.
FOUND and PURCHASED
14 RCA black plate 6l6 tubes
8 GEC KT-66 tubes
4 Sylvania 6L6 tubes (The tall ones with dual getters)
Spent only one hundred US for the lot.
Checked out all the tube before I purchased them and the old Chinese lady just kept bringing out boxes of old tubes still in the original cardboard boxes.
Came home and tested all the tubes - SWEET, I now have tubes to last a lifetime!
