  • Went with a Hot Rod Deluxe III

Played the AC 15, Egnater Tweaker, and HRD. The Tweaker sounded boxy, the ac15 did not have the head room.
Since I wanted a clean tone opposite of my jcm 800 it was the perfect choice. I was not looking for versatile.

I played it a good while with various settings. Cannot wait to get it home.

It's a good amp. I prefer the lower wattage Blues Jr, but the Blues Deluxe I had was killer, and so was the HRD that I had on loan. Good, nice clean tones. No complaints there. Congrats.

          HRD is 40 watts right?

Every HRD I've played has sounded great, and lasted for ages. Just the clean channel with a TS9 and you're set.
