I think I am going to start weeding through all of my gear and move a lot of the stuff that just doesn't get use. I'm still not sure I can get myself to part with a single guitar though. The more I think of selling any one of them, the harder it sounds to do. Amps and miscellaneous gear isn't so difficult.

I know most around here think of me as a gear slut, but I have done what you are doing now CFF. I have one electric, one acoustic, a big amp, a small amp, 2 overdrives and 2 delays. That's all I need. I may pick up a pedal here and there, but that's it. I have gotten into guns much more than guitar gear these days. ;-)

I have one amp, three pedals, and two electrics. I've never been happier with my setup. I find myself focusing more on the music and less on what I'm using to make it.

To me, streamlining doesn't necessarily mean a big sell off. If I bought it, it's because it was good and I liked it. So I'll only sell it if I know something else will utilize that money better.

As for streamlining, I just use what I want. I still know all the toys are available. That also allows me to use a different guitar anytime I want, and not have to jones on new ones.
