  • Any experience running two 1x12 cabs together?

I'll be doing this pretty soon (new cab arrives on wednesday), and I could use some insight and tips.

I imagine spreading both cabs on stage must sound cool,
Or I could point one towards my drummer if he's lacking monitors,
Or maybe I could place and angle one of the cabs so it's easier for me to get more sustain and feedback?

    What's other uses?
Anything I haven't thought of? It should be fun...
    Epiphone LP Standard PlusTop Pro
    Ibanez SZ320 / A8 DD103 bridge.
Ibanez RG270 / Screamin' Demon bridge.

    Egnater Tweaker 15 Head / Laney Cub 8 / 2x12 - Celestion V30+K100
Line 6 M13 and plenty of stompboxes I rarely use!

Haven't done it myself... yet, but I think it's a great idea. Bigger sound.

"And Blueman, I am pretty sure you've pissed off a lot of people."
"Wait, I know! Blueman and Lew can arm wrestle, and the winner gets to decide if 250K pots sound good or not."

I gigged for a while with a Tech 21 Trademark 60 (1x12 combo) plus Power Engine 60 (1x12 powered extension cab). If you separate the two cabs you get a huge sound that can be heard all over the stage! If you're keeping them together they sound better side by side than stacked - wider coverage. In the end I went back to my beloved Marshalls and sold the Tech 21s but I do miss the opportunity to do the "1x12 either side of the stage" thing. Guitar megalomania without breaking your back!
