    What pedal or effect...?

    What pedal or effect do you use the most?

    What pedal or effect do you consider an essential part of your rig/tone?

    You can name only 1 or 2 pedals.

    (not counting tuners)

        OD - Gain Stage Red: I use this drive probably 65% of the time.

        Then, as I think about it, I have the Corona Chorus on one setting or another at least 80% of the time. Sometime very subtle, sometimes very modulated.

          If the amp has gain and reverb, then all I'd usually want is a delay and maybe a wah wah (for rock, not blues).

                  I have wah, phasor, chorus, delays, distortion, overdrive, tuner, clean boost, and harmonizer on my pedalboard; plus reverb and clean/crunch/lead channels on the Mesa amp.

                  My credo is to have a lot of pedals, but use them sparingly. Definitely don't want to overuse any one pedal. It's not much of a picture if the artist only paints with one color.

                    not my kind of thread <.< i will say, when i don't have my board i can make it through a gig if i have at least a dirty and clean sound. if i've got my board though, i used every single one of those pedals equally.

                          I use my '88 RAT with the LM308 chip for most of my dirty tones. I also really love my new delay, the dejavu by Duncan. I spend a lot of time tinkering with that thing.
