  • uh-ohs - NPD (superfuzz clone)

I kinda went nuts on fuzzes this past week - man it's hard to save my pennies!

Tweakfuzz isn't even here yet, and I saw a deal on a superfuzz clone and had to jump ($80 shipped, kind of a no-brainer).

Missed (outbid) somewhat of a good deal on a wattson clone this weekend, but for $50 less for the same circuit, I'm not complaining.

It's ugly, but so was the real one, and I'm too lazy to take on a build these days. Could also re-house it in a long box with some 70s-esque paint job down the line maybe. Plus I have this size box laying around I might try my hand at a paint-and-bake thing and re-house.

not sure - it's on its way! I did own a univox at one point, so I should be able to guage a bit from memory how it stands up to the original. I know there are some pretty harsh/nasty tones that can be had. I'll keep ya posted.

came today (pretty fast for parcel post across the country)! my head is spinning with fuzzes.

        here's a clip of a tamer-type setting:

It's a bit more usable than I recall from the original 70s one I had.

but gets pretty nasty too (beware):
