    I've been trouble shooting an amp this weekend. Some sort of bastard 6L6 princeton reverb thing. Smoked the living crap out of two resistors. Man, good old carbon comp just caught fire. Gotta love it.

    My wife is not a fan of the smell, however.

    I think I need to drop the B+ a bit. Reminds me of the old Skynard song... oo oo that smell.

    I bought a 5E3 clone a couple of years ago, and in a rush to get it fired up, stupid ol' me put the rectifier tube in a power tube socket - smoke and no sound was a clue something wasn't right!
