You won't be dissapointed with the Vet30/ET65 mix, it sounds good and works in many applications. I would just be worried that you might like the Vet30 better than your V30's, or not nearly as much as them. Thus causing another issue in your speaker quest,
Are the WGS BL80s that much darker than the Celestions? The Celestion CL80s mixed wickedly well with both V30s and Greenbacks.

I'd go with an et65/reaper hp combo. I had a retro30/et65 combo and hated the retro. Replaced it with another et and love it. Great cleans and awesome gain sounds, IMO of course.
I like the reaper hp on its own, but never tried it with an et. I think it may just work.

I've never played the CL80 in person. But the BL80 with V30's worked fine, just wasn't great IMO. The V30 really stood out. The BL80 has basically zero treble freqs. But the mids are pleasant and the lows are stiff and DEEP.
I've just narrowed my speakers down to V30's and V12's, so I turfed most all my other speakers in order to maintain consistency and perspective.

So two ET65s or mix a Reaper? I thought the Reaper was best for clean?

              So I am thinking:
              ET/65 - ET/65
              ET/65 - Reaper 50
              Et/65 - Vet30

                I used 4 G12H30s with my 5150 for years. Awsome grindiness! I vote ET65/Reaper HP or ET65x2

OK, will try ET65/Reaper HP. Thanks, Would one over power the other?
Keep in mind this is also a small 212 cabinet. The THD 212.

I dont think one would overpower the other. I think they should play nice.

So ya really think the ET65/Reaper is a nice set? I am tempted to just get another Vet30/ET65....but my bandmates always thought that was too dark.

I've pretty much been a dedicated Celestion fan, but for my Vibrolux Reverb I'm ordering a pair of WGS speakers. It should be interesting to see how the quality is; I'll be posting about it for sure here.

I might stick to the proven Vet30/ET65 and grab a Reaper to compare.

They hold together very well at loud volumes too. The WGS Lead 80s supposedly take some harshness out of the top of the CL80. I dont know how the THDs would sound in comparison. Mixing either a V30 or Reaper would sound awesome with te CL80s though.
The order date is closing in! I am going to be ordering the WGS Invaders first for another cab.

For my small cab I am thinking the following:
                            Vet30/ET65
                            Retro30/Reaper50
                            ET65/Reaper50

There is always the Celestion Vintage 30 and Mesa C-90. And since I have used Celestions for years successfully, it might be my choice...or the new Celestion Creambacks/Lynchbacks.

                            Heck, maybe ever Scumbacks! LOL.

Can someone compare the Reaper 50 to the ET65?
I am trying to get out of mixing speakers to be honest.

If I go ET65, this will be my rig:
                            Bogner 212 - Hellatone Celestion V30s
Stone Age 212C - WGS Invaders
                            THD - WGS ET65s (or Reaper 50s)

                            What about Eminence Cannibus Rex?
