  • Finally found a suitable replacement for my matchless

The other day I was browsing the interwebz and discovered a divided by 13 CJ11 for sale used in Hollywood California through GC, so I called my local store to see if they can ship it in this week.
Looks like I'll sell my head, cab and road case and buy the CJ11 for a reasonably good price $1849

Hope it all turns out well! :-)

When I saw Soundgarden last year, Cornell was using three different /13 amps. I was on his side of the stage, and got most of his sound (could barely hear Thayil). He sounded ****ING AMAZING.

Great purchase, sir. Enjoy it in good health.

Thanks, I fully intend to. Should be a pretty awesome amp, and nearly 50 lbs less heavy

        That's a win right there

        Enjoy!

I'll never forget seeing Maroon 5 live. Adam and James both play through Divided By 13 amps and they sounded pretty damn amazing, quite possibly the best live tone I've ever heard from a group and I've seen A LOT of bands live.

                    indeed the matchless is...matchless

but guitar center was gonna give me $900 for my amp.

I officially no longer endorse guitar center for anything...

except the GC in north Dallas...they're kind

Re: Finally found a suitable replacement for my matchless

I'm surprised they offered you that much to be honest...they generally offer half if what they are going to ask for it and there is no way they'll get $1800 for a used Clubman 35...in this market they'll be lucky to get $1500.

Not a knock on the amp at all just a fact...

much more reason to sell privately IMO

Yep the deal is this though...

A private sale could take months even a year or more but a sale to GC takes as long as it takes to drive to GC!

Glad to hear it. I didn't think a Matchless would last too long myself, regardless of the economy
