Just out of curiosity, would this be possible....
In the Randall RM100, I know you can individual bias each tube so that you can run 2 6L6s and 2 EL34s at one time by having either the EL34s on the end and 6L6s in the middle or vice versa.
Now my question is this, for any quartet powered amp, are you able to run the same type of tubes (El34 or 6L6s) but have 2 different brands as long as they're matched? Say 2 matched JJ EL34s on the end and 2 matched Tungsol EL34s in the middle? Would that work?
