  • Laney LC50 schematics?

i have recently picked up a Laney LC50 made in the UK amp . it was used and one of the power tubes is doing the classic red glowing thing. I switched the tubes around to make sure it was the tube and not the socket. was that the right thing to do? and do i need the schematics for the amp in order to be able to correctly set the bias when i get new tubes? Where on the amp do i connect my meter to i check the bias?

btw it has JJ KT77 tubes

A friends bugera recently had this same issue.

Turns out it was just a 17p resistor (the grid stopper) that had burnt out due to bugera using under rated rubbish.

    here's a schematic for the LC50 combo
