Well, the 6505+ has better cleans than the 'non-plus' model, and CAN be modded back to original 5150/6505 specs for that 'darker' 5150 grind. Also, if you mod the bias circuit on the original 5150/6505 to be adjustable, you can coax nicer cleans and a not-so-fuzzy distortion.

Mod it?!?!?

My first challenge would be to actually get it!

I have a 3120 and i like how versatile it is. I'm sure the 6505 has some great tones but i have only played it in Revalver.
