  • Got this old Marshall combo cabinet. Now what to do with it?

I've had this dam thing sitting around forever. I got it on a trade as a bonus, but it never worked. It was a Valvestate 8040 or something like that. I finally took the chassis out today, and it was pretty well nuked, so I pitched it. Now I've got this cabinet left and I'm debating whether or not to keep it or not.

You guys think it would make a decent little 1x12 open back cab? It's got a G12L-35 in it, which is pretty much worthless. Speakers are easy enough to replace though.

Oh yeah! I did get 7 good knobs off of it. If you need a replacement for your Valvestate or DSL/TSL give me a holler!

I think it would be cool to put one of these in there:

That might be a very good possibility. The kits are badly priced either. I bet shipping charges suck though!

Unless the previous circuit had tubes, too, you'd need to punch holes through the chassis... probably better to buy a new one.
