    Anyone tried one?

Looks interesting simply because it's an alnico magnet speaker that does not cost 3-4 times the price of a ceramic. So could be a way to experience the 'alnico sound' without spending a lot of money if I end up not liking it...

I had two of the black frame, 35 watt, 12" models.
They were nice, "smooth" sounding speakers.
The lowered powered, blue frames have a bit of a cult following. Both have been discontinued, and are in demand.
Not sure if they still make the 10 or not.
    At any rate.....enjoy.!

They are excellent speaks, especially cause of the higher power handling ( 30 or 35 watts I think?) as opposed to the 25 watts really is what the doctor ordered for a 50 watt amp.
They sound great. The Blues frame 10's are still available as new old stock, but they are pricy.
The Black arent around no more except used that I know of.

I have no idea about the blue or black frames, the model I was thinking of was this:

Edit: the model currently on the Eminence website has a black frame, so I assume it is this one, but I have no idea if it is the same as the "old" black frame
