  • Random thought regarding a Tech21 PowerEngine 60...

Anybody ever use one of these things?

I've got one of the Trademark 10s, and I've been pretty happy with it.

    Anyway, random thought I had:

You know how the input on those things is an XLR, at mic level?

You know how you can put some DI boxes with an XLR out between an amp and a speaker cab?

You see where I'm going with this...

So... theoretically... you could run the mic level out of the DI, into a Power Engine, and voila: an extra 60w o' juice. Daisy chain to your heart's content.

I've run a DI from amp into the one I had. Worked well I thought. Great for plugging a pod into.

Yes you can. I think most Tech21 guys would just run a SansAmp into a PowerEngine though...

I'm just getting giggly thinking about a heap of PE60s daisy chained and being run from a DI connected to my Tweaker.

Yes, there are days where I'm easily amused... apparently, this is one of them.
