What is the worst OD pedal money can buy? Seriously, price is no object - what sucks?

Re: Recommend a bad overdrive pedal
no one seems to like the boss super feedbacker and distortion for its OD sound, but I dug the feedbacker part of the pedal and could have used that feature a few times in low level recording.
also - I put together a GGG rangemaster clone that made some of my louder farts sound musical. I'm pretty sure it was builder error. No way to tell now, I destroyed it in a fit of white-hot rage that nearly culminated in me taking my own life with the PCB board.Last edited by DankStar; 06-19-2012, 02:19 PM.

But I wasn't really trying to spoof you. I'm actually curious to know what OD people think is bad. Every time someone asks for a recommendation on a good one it seems like every pedal under the sun gets mentioned. So really, it might be easier to pick out the bad ones than the good ones.-

Re: Recommend a bad overdrive pedal
But with the number of satisfied blues driver users, it would be difficult to say that the BD-2 was a *bad* pedal.
I'll say I didn't care for the Digitech Tone Driver. It was supposed to emulate an SD-1, a TS808, and a TS9, and anything in betweed by using a "morph knob". It was a digital unit and I think it sounded like it. Very easy to get harsh sounds out of. Plus, it ate 9V batteries in about 10-12 hours, so if you leave it on by mistake you'll kill your battery overnight. PLUS, the switches in those Digitech X-Series were a tiny button on the circuit board, and those were somewhat prone to failure. PLUS the "simulated cabinet output" sounded like a dark blurry mess.
So that's my vote for a bad overdrive pedal. Wayyy too many inconveniences.

Honestly. DS-1's as the come are the most overrated pieces of crap for the money Boss charge.
I'll throw a vote for Behringer, as lots of their pedals are plasticIch bin mein führer
