Re: NAD! my 1st tube amp

after further sound investigation I think they should have named this amp the fat bottomed beeoch.
Maybe its just my 4x12 cab loaded with texas heat and swamp thangs @ 8ohms that makes her sound SO damn fat down there??

mmmm maybe time for a crunchy extension cabinet built for the new head.... sounds like a plan for me!

My first tube amp was the BH5. Awesome and congrats on graduating to all-tube!

That amp looks very familiar. Even that extra hole on the right side of the control panel.

" I drilled the first hole for the 3 way switch in the wrong place."

Run that sucker on 15w and turn the master down. It really does sound better. I take it you got it from Lucid?

It's a fun amp and sounds even better pushing it with an overdrive. I always ran it through my silver 4x12 cab with the V30's/G12T75's. I finally took the time to play with the Dime guitar last night through the DSL and all I could do is b!tch because I can't shred and that guitar just needs to be played fast.

That amp was my learning tool while I was in school.
Every time we got to some new stuff, I would do some kind of mod to that amp.
It has the bitmo dapper devil mod on it too, but I modded that mod.
I spent a lot of time inside that amp. It's a good one.

Ditto what Muttn said! Once you go tubes, nothing else sounds as good..

80's Metal, Congrats bro!! I dunno if its a characteristic of EL84s but my tweaker sounds alot more bottom heavy than my EL34 amps
Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.
