  • That RAMMSTEIN sound on a budget ?

    I am posting this for a friend . . .

. . . by now, i am pretty sure a lot of you know the German band Rammstein.

I have NO idea what amps they are using.
So, can you guys help us out !

What pedals (and other FX) is needed to get close to their sound ?

I assume they are using hi-gain amps ?

    5150 ? EGNL ? Diezel ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks guys.

I will ask my buddy what songs they want to cover.
I think Du Hast might be one of 'em - not sure.

So, doesn any one know a GOOD Mesa Recto-in-a-box pedal ?

Except the new Mesa made pedals.

AMT R1/R2, although I think the S1/S2 sounds better. Dr Boogey is another option.

I just picked up an OKKO Dominator, it nails the deep death metal sound, it'd probably do a decent Rammstein sound with less gain and extreme EQing.

I always thought it was a Hughes and Kettner Warp Factor, but I literally haven't heard Rammstein since Du Hast. :|
