Can't you get that tone out of your JTM30, JMP-1, or stable of mini amps?

There's a Fargen Mini Plex head down at GC Sherman Oaks for $669 that sounds great. I want it, but gotta pass.....no more room for amps! And, no reason to spend money.

I can get sorta close, yes. They seem to have a certain unique magic though when I hear clips of them (maybe some of which is in my head?). The one in the clip above really reminds me of some humble pie tones, which I love.

I typically talk myself out of the 18-watters, then the feeling comes back that I should track one down. That Schreyer ended up selling the day before I emailed the dude about it (I was sort of tire kicking, but sometimes this pans out). It was a one-off head version (according to the man himself, I emailed him too). I have no idea what it sounded like though - I can't find any clips of Schreyer's 18-watt combos online. But it was for sale at $600 and all their current models are like $1,500 and up! I'm sure it's a killer amp. Although a deal, also a lot of scratch at this time.

That fargen would be cool - I see it's listed on GC's site.
