    hi guys,
    my vox amp takes 2x EL84 tubes, could i use EL34 instead ???????

      To clarify, EL84's have a different diameter and number of pins (9) at the bottom than do the 6V6/6L6/KT88/EL34's(8, also known as "octal") .

        The two types of tubes are as different as a Coupe de Ville and a Civic. EL34's are big tubes, like 6L6's. EL84's are little ones that look like extra-long pre-amp tubes.
