  • celestion g12 century vintage 50 watts

This speaker came in my Blackstar HT40 combo. I scored the combo for $400. Mint condition. The speaker that usually comes in the combo is a seventy eighty (upgrade maybe).

It says 50 watts and made in england.

Is it any good? Read people compare it to a classic lead 80.

My dilemma is that I currently own a hardly used celestion 75w creamback and looking to unload one of the two.

Mine is 60W? It also says 60W on the Celestion website, oh well not that important.

To me, it's basically a V30 with a neodymium magnet, with a sharper attack and clearer top end. I really like the speakers. Running a pair in series in a home built 2x12 and modified Vox Night Train 15W.

Any more specific questions about the speaker?
