What can go wrong? :)

We have an outdoor venue.
Mostly rock & roll, source is MP3s to a Mackie 802 VZL4 EQ.
Amp is Tapco j1400
Two Peavey TLS Subs and two TLS 2X mids.
Problem is it is running on the ragged edge at volume.

I have another J1400 spare.
Thought is to run the amp mono bridged to a paralleled sub/mid pair and use the spare amp to duplicate for other channel.
Will I really gain anything, or better yet will, will it break anything?
I do have a couple of Nady XA 900 amps available, so in theory, I guess I could run an amp for each of the four speakers.
There is zero budget to get a pro amp.
Thoughts/suggestions?

Mp3 format or the device playing it? Our player uses a 1.7 volt line driver output. Should be good?

Does the wattage increase when you bridge to mono? If not, then biamping will not do anything for your headroom problem. Outdoors requires copious power. The Yamaha Sound Reinforcement Handbook (the FOH bible) has the exact mathmatical calculations depending on area, humidity,and wind factors.
