Re: Vol Pedal to Ext Cab?

Volume is quite the issue w/teh older crowd, esp if he's in the band.
Singer's kind of a puss, too, honestly, but a lot of that is his inexperience w/a board.

Just tryin'to play nice & get some chops in.And some occasional ca$h helps,as well.

Can you throw a blanket or towel over it? Turn a closed back to face the wall?

When you've had budget guitars for a number of years, you may find that your old instrument is holding you back. A quality guitar can inspire you to write great songs, improve your understanding of the Gdim chord while in the Lydian Mode, cure the heartbreak of cystic acne--and help you find true love in the process.

It's fine on my side, although this is the "quietest" situation I've played in.

          Work in progress,for damn sure...

          Thnx Again!

One thought...are both speakers the same model and the same impedance? If there is a mismatch in efficiency, it makes things more difficult. Likewise, mixing a closed-back with an open back can cause an imbalance.

I almost always use a Mesa combo with a 112 Mesa EVM Thiele cab with my band; but I stack the amp on the cab. We do a lot of low volume gigs and she never has a problem hearing me. There's kind of a sweet-spot for setting the amp against the wall--I want a few inches of space between amp and wall to the sound can spread through reflection. Too far away though, and you lose the coupling effect with the wall.

            Good luck!

Can you use an L-pad with a tube amp? I don't know.

If it's a tube amp, get an attenuator. Other than that, you can put a volume pedal in the effects loop, and have a similar effect. You might be better served to get a smaller amp.
