  • 15W Combo As A Cabinet For A 20W Head

I've never tried this before. I have a Marshall DSL15 combo amp with a 16-ohm Creamback in it. I want to get a 20 watt tube head and use the DSL just as a cab. I'm pretty sure it can be done. Is there anything I should be wary of beforehand?

The Creamback should 65 or 75 w, so as far as power goes there should be nothing to be afraid of. Other than that, make sure the ohmage is correct, see how the speaker is connected (you may need to get an extender cable), and if you can plug in into the head you should be good to go!
