started a topic I got a new amp today.

I got a new amp today.

Just spent the first half hour with my new Marshall mf350 mode 4.
    Dialing in some tones.
    Here are my first impressions.

Clean channel is never something I've ever really liked in any amp. This clean channel sparkles with some beauty.. it feels like there's a lot of meat behind it? I'm no clean channel expert for certain, but I like this one.

Crunch channel- good for old acdc, chord kind of playing, there's a scoop button there and it sounds like 2 different amps with/without the button.

    Amp 2 side
OD 1 is meaty, and sizzly, has a bit of a strange voicing to the channel, it's useable for death metal and scoopy speedy riffs. It's not my favorite voice.

OD 2 has 3 tone switches, and quite a subtle difference between them, I like #2 tone setting the best so far. It is a typical Marshall kind of tone, the whole amp is voiced like many other Marshall amps I've heard.

What I don't like about it: the knobs feel like they would break if I was thrashing around drunk onstage and crashed into it.... my Peaveys would hold up to that....have....held up to that.
    It's physically heavy.
OD 2 channel is a bit loose, not nearly as tight as the other 3 channels.

    What I love about it.
Master volume and individual channel volumes.
    Presence and resonance master
There's a solo volume knob and a footswitch button marked solo that applies a boost to any channel! That's super!
    It's loud as ****!

I haven't played with the effects loops yet, I'm grabbing a bite to eat and then playing with all my pedals in front and work up some magial metallic tones hopefully.

Overall I'm pretty pleased so far. I won't share what I paid for it. But I got a great ...dare I say, Super deal on it. It came with original box, paperwork, cables, footswitch. It looks mint.
