  • Can you get JCM800ish sounds with a JCM2000?

    Hey guys... I'm still sittin on my moneycause I'mwaiting for my new flat to befinished, so I still haven't boughtmy new amp... And I was wondering if it's possible to get JCM800ish sounds out of a JCM2000 DSL...

    Yeah, just keep the master high and the gain low, and don't use the boost. They're fairly similar in tone.

    If you put it on a 4-12 cab, using a mix of stock Marshall G-75's on the bottom, and replacing the top 2 with Vintage 30's, it'll give a great tone out of a DSL.

        The JCM 800 are much better than the 2000 from what I've reading.
        I think after listening to the 800s, you won't wanna make it sound like the 2000s.
