Re: Draining the Filter Caps
I never heard of draining filter caps from preamp tube's? Don't think that will
work? Hear's a thread on the subject and SAFETY TIPS Please read it B4
you try anything inside your amp.

Re: Draining the Filter Caps
Definitely do your homework on safety. Check ax84 and ampage. Hoffmanamps also suggests plucking a note and turning the amp's power switch off while letting the note ring. Always meter the caps before you go poking around inside.

Re: Draining the Filter Caps
Yea and make sure you NEVER touch any metal part of the amp no matter what, until you know everything is drained. If you dont have a multimeter or some sort of equipment to check, go get one. Otherwise, dont mess with the insides of your amp.
Also, dont do anything stupid and try and blame someone for your mistakes if something bad happens! You might not be around to do so either..Guitars: Jackson Black Flametop SLSMG FullShred(A8)/FullShred w/Tonepros bridge
Fernandes Revolver Pro 7-String, BKP Painkiller(A8)
Amp: Laney VH100R and Splawn 2x12 cab
Effects: John Spina modded SD-1, Morley Bad Horsie Wah, MXR 10-band EQ (OLD version)
Recording/Practice: Line 6 Guitar Port
