    ok so I'm wanting to drain the filter caps on a marshall plexi RI, on the first preamp tube, which pin is pin 1?

    I never heard of draining filter caps from preamp tube's? Don't think that will

      Definitely do your homework on safety. Check ax84 and ampage. Hoffmanamps also suggests plucking a note and turning the amp's power switch off while letting the note ring. Always meter the caps before you go poking around inside.

        Yea and make sure you NEVER touch any metal part of the amp no matter what, until you know everything is drained. If you dont have a multimeter or some sort of equipment to check, go get one. Otherwise, dont mess with the insides of your amp.

        Also, dont do anything stupid and try and blame someone for your mistakes if something bad happens! You might not be around to do so either..
