I suppose those marks must be mic positions, but I can't imagine why they're even necessary. You don't see them on many professionals' cabs. And as for putting them on limited edition gear like that!
if it were my 4X12's i'd hide them in the laundry room...apparently my wife doesn't go there often...(i hope she don't read this )

those are some awesome amps and cabs btw!!! really cool!

Here's how you convince the little woman.......by tellin her, it's none of yo dam biz!

I've thought of selling mine to make room, but I can't bring myself to do it....it's soooo beautiful! And, it sounds even better. I'll sell it in a decade or two, when the price really hits the roof for a stack in mint condition.

It's hard to say - I've seen some go quite cheaply, and some that haven't sold at all (particularly if they start high). I don't think Jubilees are quite as sought after here as they are in the US. £1200 wouldn't surprise me, but on the other hand there may not be many people looking. There's no reserve, and maybe the mic marks will put some people (like collectors) off. All you can do if you're seriously interested is think hard about what is the most you are willing to pay. If the auction's nearing the end and it hasn't gone over that price just give it a shot. You'd have to venture into Kent to pick 'em up though!

I won't be bidding - can't afford it! I do regular searches for Jubilees though, because I'd quite like to get a top cab to go with these (which I bought for £620 from a shop three years ago):

Matt, if you have ANY ability to buy that amp, do it. In your life, it'll quadruple in value, plus it's the best sounding highgain Marshall ever made. Even if you have to borrow the money, find a way to get it. Put in a proxy bid at the last minute and snipe it. You can easily buy a roll of the same grillcloth, and redo it yourself. I've got 2 JJ E-34L's and Sovtek 12ax7LPS pre tubes in my 2550, and it sounds better than any DSL50. You can actually get great gain out of that amp, even at home levels, by switching it down to 25W! Jeff H came over my place and swears it's the best Marshall he's ever heard.

You have to bring it to UGD UK if you get it!

The seller has answered some questions now. It looks like I wasn't the only person curious about the marks.

                  Easily rubbed off, apparently.

Well, it went for £1140.11. That's just over $2000. Fantastic deal if you consider it's for a full stack AND a combo!

Mattt, tell us you're the winning bidder.
