  • Rush in Rio amp set up

I have been blasting the Rush cd Rush In Rio for a week now in my car... I find it hard to find out complete gear info on Alex's rigs... Does anyone have a complete rig layout for lifesons tour rig? Hard to tell by just looking at the DVD...

They had his rig posted a while back in Guitar One. I'll look for it & post it up when/if I find it.

I know he's using the signature H&K amp, but don't recall much more than that.....I'm old & suffer from CRS.

I know he's using a Hughes & Kettner Triamp and a H&K Zen Tera. Don't know what pedals he's using, but H&K came out with the Alex Lifeson amp which is a Zen Tera with the presets he used on tour I believe.

        Cheers!
        My songs....enjoy! (hopefully )

It's good. It has an easter egg with a video from 1975 of Anthem off of Fly by Night. To get to it, I believe it is on the second DVD and in one of the menus you have to choose scene 2 then go menu,, then 1, then menu, then 1 then menu, then 2 (2112) and when you go back to the menu again, you'll see the choice for Anthem.

I saw RUSH on that tour...though not in Rio. (Actually I see RUSH on every tour.) I don't know how Geddy got such a good bass tone from three front load dryers. Then again, he's the bass master and I'm just a masterbates.

His sig amp is actually based on the Triamp Mk II, rather than the ZenTera. I'm not really sure how his model is different, other than the purple light instead of the blue...

                Good tone anyway...
