I've never ever seen a good guitar or amp in any Goodwill or Salvation Army. When I spotted it, the guy at the store said he'd just put it out on the floor a few hours earlier. I just dusted off my old Marshall Lead 12 combo amp last week. Something about the attack is a bit too "crisp" for my liking. When I graze the top two strings, it's just not warm enough. It's almost "too Hi-Fi". Still fun to plunk around on, though.
It was my first amp. Received it as a birthday present back in Feb. 1989.
Immediately came home and tried to play Welcome to the Jungle, Crazy Babies (Ozzy), and Metallica's "One". I've got to admit, I think I was trying to play some Winger as well.Comment
