    Help...

My Marhsal DSL 401 just stopped working for no apparent reason and with no warning. I just played it last night and it was fine. This morning, I tried to play but there was absolutely no sound from it. After work, it was still the same.

I checked the fuses and they're alright. The power button light still works, as does the channel LED's. I noticed that even after leaving the power on for awhile, none of the tubes were glowing at all.

Any idea what this could be?

Man... I hate it when this kinda stuff just happens out of the blue.

I have a buddy who's an amp tech, and he was griping about the reliability of that amp. If I recall correctly, his complaint was that they got too hot and things on the pcb fried because of it. I hope that's not the case with yours, but it sure sounds like something is preventing current from getting to the power tubes. Take it to a tech and get it checked out.

There is a 100k dualpot on the inside...it is probally that one.
All the DSL 400's I have seen have a malfunction there, too much cost cutting.

        Hmm yeah.
I was aware of the overheating issue but never really had problems with it till now.

Is that 100k dualpot costly to replace?
