  • Inexpensive guitar power amp

    Hi guys,

Looking for an inexpensive power amp to run my GT-8 through. I have no idea how much these things cost. Do not need lots of wattage, but I assume they all come with lots anyway.

    Thanks...

For inexpensive/highquality, seek out a used Peavey Classic 60/60 or 50/50.
They usually run around $250, whereas used Mesas are around $600.

Check around for a Tech 21 Power Engine 60. That's what it was designed for. Looks like a 1x12 combo, but it's just a clean 60w power amp and 12" speaker.

I see them used for around $200 usually.

        hey Man,
I've got a Tube Work RT-4250 Provalve 100 tube poweramp if that interests you. Its 2x50watts channels, has 6L6s, but no phase invertors (it uses a SolidState circut for that). Very clean condition and fully functionals.

        You can check here:

Let me know if it interests you. I've got pictures of it.

I am located in Toronto but definitly willing to ship. I just sold my other poweramp to a guy in Spain

        Cheers & thanks!
